Tuesday January 20, 2009 - 'Big' or Small' teams, where to place bets!?

It seems that the clubs that played both cup and championship games, show a lot of inconsistency and are prone to dips in form, so the ones of you that manage to avoid certain matches can also hope for some winning bets. So the last round brought the losses of Inter, Valencia, Atletico Madrid, while Chelsea, MUTD, Real and Roma got away with it, whereas Liverpool and Juventus took only one point each.

We should leave these „Big Teams“ aside and turn to average ones that are in good form, so perhaps we might give a chance to Genoa, Bologna, Manchester City, Sevilla…

Bordeaux and Milan showed excellent form and we expect triumphs from Lazio, PSG and Villarreal.

We must point out that the transfer window is already affecting the stability of the teams and certain players. Manchester City have already lost Kaka transfer for now, and Robinho didn't turn up in the training camp, so the home game against Newcastle might be problematic for them.

Here are our suggestions that involve the midtable teams:

Valladolid vs. Espanyol Draw odds 3.4
Genoa vs. Catania Home win odds 1.6
Lazio vs. Cagliari Home win odds 1.67
Maritimo vs Leixoes Home win odds 2.00
West Ham vs. Hull Home win odds 1.75

Still, the final decision is all yours. Good luck!

Thursday January 15, 2009 - Tight schedule – plenty of surprises in sight

Are cup games a burden and how big of a burden they are has always been a big question, therefore we should have in mind that most of the clubs in France, Italy, Spain and England have already played three matches in the last ten days and only three days later they will again be on the pitch. Perhaps we should pay attention to the teams that no longer play in these competitions and count on eventual surprises.

Milan and Fiorentina had a longer break than the rest of the teams but already on Saturday we will see their clash. It will be a hell of a game. Fiorentina lost in the last round on home ground and now they are even more motivated to prove their quality against great Milan. Lazio will host Juventus on Sunday and these two matches will be the most interesting in Serie A this weekend.

Spain and England will have no real derby this weekend but there will be many interesting and uncertain matches. You should pay attention to the fact that Chelsea must win, but they are hosting dangerous Stoke. Liverpool will see a big city derby. When it comes to Spanish football, we will mention the duel between Barcelona and Deportivo as interesting, but the way Barca play at the moment there are no serious obstacles for them.

Here are few of our suggestions, enough for the first place on the standings.

Chelsea v Stoke, over 2.5 goals odds: 2.25
Nantes v Bordeaux, away win 2.05
AC Milan v Fiorentina handicap 0:1, away win 2.14
Torino v AS Roma, away win 2.05
Valladolid v Betis, draw 3.2
Almeria v Atletico Madrid, away win 2.25

See you at the top of the standings!

Tuesday January 06, 2009 - Back on the track

After holidays and a few-week break, we are back to football, as the next weekend will see all of the leagues back on track, except for German Bundesliga but there will be cups. Spanish Copa Del Rey is becoming serious and all the fans are in for few very exciting matches.

When it comes to Serie A, we expect David Beckham’s debut in the great derby against Roma; we will have to wait for Sunday and see if another veteran will change something in Milan's play and if Milan truly needs him. Inter seems to have definitely given up on Adriano although he used all of his chances and he also showed that Brazilians are pretty ‘active’ in everyday life and always find something to distract them from getting on season’s first training in time. But Mourinho showed that even without him Inter is a mighty force…

Spaniards have continued their championship brightly and there weren’t many surprises last weekend but we noticed that Espanyol are slowly recovering from the poor performance in the first part of the season and there are also Santander and Deportivo… Nothing new with Real and Barca...

Here are few interesting matches and our recommendations for this round:

Genoa-Torino home win odds 1.70
Bologna-Chievo home win odds 1.83
Manchester Utd-Chelsea over 2.5 odds 2.25

And for those of you who wish to experiment, our suggestions are as follows:

Reggina-Lazio away win odds 2.5
Udinese-Sampdoria draw odds 3.0
AS Roma-AC Milan home win odds 2.6

Best of luck and enjoy the good football…

Tuesday December 23, 2008 - A goal’s loss

Although we weren't 100% efficient with the last suggestion, you must admit that we weren't so bad. We won four out of five bets, which is definitely not enough for any kind of profit, but precisely those are the bets that everyone talks about the most. It took only one goal to celebrate. As always, you must think.

We hope that you will have better luck. Some of you did actually. Take a look how ludimeda did his job. It wouldn’t be a surprise if he got hold of the 1st prize in the end of the month. We are glad to see that someone decided to play it safe and it paid off.

We will see how ludimeda prepared for the Premiership that is the only option left in the next few weeks (aside from the Championship that I, personally, don’t know at all). Here are some of the views on Premiership events:

Stoke - Man United over 2,5 odds 1.70
Man City - Hull home win odds 1.80
Sunderland – Blackburn draw odds 3.20

For those of you that see these suggestions as risky try with:

Stoke - Manchester Utd. away win odds 1.30
Chelsea - WBA home win odds 1.17
Liverpool - Bolton home win odds 1.33

Too simple to be true.

Friday December 19, 2008 - Betting picks for the weekend

We haven’t been too bad in our UEFA CUP predictions, but three from four couldn’t satisfy our criteria. Furthermore, at real bookmaker or bet-fantasy.com it wasn’t enough for new wining. However, it isn’t reason to stay quite for this weekend, so we have collected some new picks for you. Of course, we will avoid some soundly matches available for this weekend. For ones who prefer derbies on their bets there are some exciting odds:

Real Madrid – Valencia 2.00 3.30 3.75 (who can believe to Real after disaster at Camp Nou)
Villareal – Barcelona 4.00 3.50 1.85 (odds aren’t fair to bet on Barca)
Arsenal – Liverpool 2.45 3.25 2.80 (any outcome is possible)
Milan – Udinese 1.62 3.60 6.00 (Rossoneri are without half of their squad)

If you have any idea regarding these matches say it through your bet-fantasy bet.

Here is my selection:
De Graafschap - Ajax away win 1.45
Blackburn - Stoke home win 1.85
St.Etienne - Auxerre home win 1.90
Lecce - Bologna home win 2.15
Espanyol - Atl. Madrid away win 2.15

See you at Monday when all results will be calculated. In meantime don’t forget to impregnate your daily balance.
