Tuesday December 16, 2008 - How to open Gamebookers account?

When you open Gamebookers through our promo link, the page below will appear. In the right bottom of the page you can find Create New Account banner marked with red line on the image below.

Click on the link, and then you will have to fill in some basic information such as account name, email address and password. You don't need a bonus code, so leave this field blank. (We marked that field with green color). You have to verify that you are at least 18 years old and after that just click submit.

The next page is the crucial one. We have had a lot of headache because of it. Here it is:

So, what's the problem here? Some of our prize winners opened Practice accounts and then we couldn't transfer their prizes because they didn't have Real money account. Important notice here is that you don't have to deposit any money even if you choose Real money account. So, open Real money account marked with red color here. Then you will be transferred to the next page where you have to fill in some additional data.

All fields marked with * are mandatory fields and you have to fill in all required data. After completing this step your Gamebookers account will be ready for your Bet-fantasy.com prize. Also, it is important that account is opened before the end of the month during which the prize was won. So, don't waste your time and open Gamebookers account for free right now.

Monday December 15, 2008 - Days of UEFA Cup

UEFA Cup
Last weekend was full of derby games. We hope that you did well and managed to take advantage of the fact that the favourites emerged victorious. While Barcelona struggled to break injury-plagued Real, Juventus didn’t have a lot of problems against Milan. Beside Lyon and Marseille, who shared spoils, White Hart Lane also saw a goalless draw between Tottenham and Manchester United.

It is highly unlikely that someone managed to put all these games on one bet slip. Danijel1984 managed to predict a draw on Tottenham Manchester match, among other things, which has placed him in the fifth place and within a chance to win the jersey awarded by Gamebookers.com. Still, it is unlikely that this will be enough for the prize.

Those of you that bet like we did last week, could maybe reach the top of the standings. We hope that you listened to our advice and cashed in on it at least in the virtual bookie at bet-fantasy.com. The odds in total were 6.28. One bet slip a day like this and there is the first place.

Last round of the UEFA Cup group stage will be played this week, and this is how we see it from punters’ point of view:

1. Tottenham - Spartak Moscow over 2.5 1.80
2. Milan - Wolfsburg over 2.5 1.85
3. La Coruna - Nancy under 2.5 1.75
4. Santander - Manchester City under 2.5 1.75

Still, the final decision is all yours. Good luck!

Friday December 12, 2008 - Will Ramos start with a win?

Juande RamosThe excitements in the Champions League are over for this year but there are still plenty of matches on offer, thus the fight for prizes in December will be exciting. To be honest, we prefer when the offer is not that big as that is when the tactics of the most persistent ones is producing results: 100 points every day on a safe bet and the balance keep rising, slowly but steadily.

There are some very interesting matches in Europe this weekend. We are paying the most attention to the derby at Camp Nou, where Barca will host Real. Will Ramos start with a win? This is how the bookies see this match:

Barcelona-Real Madrid 1.65 3.3 3.5
or
Juventus-Milan 2.25 3.00 3.25
or
Lyon-Marseille 1.90 3.20 4.00

For those of you that don’t like to risk too much here is completely different advice:

Aston Villa-Bolton home win odds 1.70
Hamburger-Frankfurt home win odds 1.45
Fiorentina-Catania home win odds 1.50
We will skip Inter as the odds are small
Atletico Madrid-Betis home win odds 1.70

If you have any different hunch or ideas, do show them at your bet. We will see on Monday whose intuition was right. Be inspired!

Saturday December 06, 2008 - How much are the bookies earning?

Will HillThe first month of competition sponsored by on-line bookie Gamebookers.com has just ended. We would like to congratulate to the winners and remind them to send us their Gamebookers info so that we could pass them on the prizes. December is already well under way, thus our advice is to believe in yourself and bet your 100 virtual coins every day. One payment could be enough to change the situation in the overall standings.

In the meantime, we have prepared for you some statistics from behind the scenes, and I know at least a couple of people who are constantly wondering how the bookies fared this weekend. The famous line goes: ‘The bookies must have filled their pockets this weekend considering the results.’ Here is how it looks at Bet-fantasy for the month of November. You have places 7317 bets, 946 out of that number were winning bets. 503217 virtual bet-fantasy units is the amount of placed bets and 373624 is the payout. Therefore, if we were an actual bookie we would now be spending time in one of the tropical islands, drinking cocktails, with 129593 units of real money in our pockets. Even though this is fantasy betting and you are given 100 virtual coins a day, which is completely different than the actual betting, the profit is pretty much alike to those achieved by real bookies, and is 25.75%. On the other hand, the difference is that at bet-fantasy.com, you cannot bet the amount you have already won, unlike the real world, where the majority of greedy punters give all their money back to the bookies.

You should expect more similar statistics and analysis. If you have any idea what could be interesting to share from ‘under the hood’, do tell. We will do our best to realize your wishes. It’s nice to be a bookie!

Saturday November 08, 2008 - Goals galore in the Champions League

Del PieroThe last two rounds of the Champions League showed that, even though there have been a couple of teams that we thought do not deserve to be there, the excitements are not missing…We don’t recall the last time when 94 goals were scored in two successive rounds in the group stages, with an average of almost three goals per game…For Anorthosis to score three against Inter, not even the biggest optimists would predict this…

We have to give credit to the minnows, which showed that they really belong here and that they are not just looking to avoid heavy defeats. We also have to point out that defensive style of play is slowly giving way and that we can finally enjoy the true encounters and teams playing to score one more than the opponent…

Let’s not forget Juventus, who is slowly returning to the right track after the poor start of the season, but we also wonder what will happen to them when Del Piero retires…? The Old Lady is simply not the same team without him. ‘The Grandpa’ showed real class, a little beat of left foot, a little bit of right foot, and the goals are coming. Not many players showed that kind of form this season and if he continues in the same way, who do you think is destined for Balon d’Or next season?

The biggest surprise and possibly the only team that wondered off in the Champions League is Fener. They look like a bunch of amateurs, while we have to applaud all the other teams and just say thank you for the wonderful games and finally real excitements…

And concerning the bets, we wish you a lot of luck with crazy games like these, and we have to say hats off to those who managed to make a winning slip in this situation…
